Former Leeds United Manager Believes Defenders Struggle to Stop Tottenham Loanee Manor Solomon
Daniel Farke’s Leeds United have extended their unbeaten run in the Championship to 14 games, thanks in part to the impressive performances of Tottenham Hotspur loanee Manor Solomon. Former Leeds manager Simon Grayson believes that defenders have been left clueless when it comes to stopping the talented winger.
Solomon, an Israel international, has been in exceptional form for Leeds, scoring seven goals and providing seven assists in all competitions this season. Grayson attributes the player’s success to his low center of gravity, which allows him to change direction quickly, leaving defenders struggling to keep up.
Injuries Paved the Way for Leeds Move
Grayson believes that Solomon’s injuries, which restricted him from reaching his full potential at Tottenham, were the reason why he was sent on loan. However, the former manager sees this as a positive move for the player, who has been able to showcase his talent at Leeds.
One of the Best Signings of the Season
Grayson is full of praise for Solomon, calling him “one of the best signings of the season.” He notes that everyone was aware of the player’s talent, and his decision to leave Tottenham has been a boon for Leeds. Despite missing some games due to injury, Solomon’s low center of gravity and ability to change direction quickly have left defenders perplexed.
“He’s got to be up there with one of the best signings of the season to be fair. I think everybody was certainly aware of his talent from his background where he’s played and what he’s done”, Grayson told LUTV.
“Injuries have played a part in him not been having the success hence why I think he was allowed out on loan.
“But leaving Tottenham has been positive in our respect and he didn’t start the season playing all the games because of getting into the team but also then picked up an injury.
“But you can see him now he just he’s got that low sense of gravity that he can go left right. Defenders haven’t got a clue”, he added.
Tottenham will be eager to see Solomon continue his impressive form in Yorkshire before he returns to the club in the summer. His performances have certainly caught the attention of fans and pundits alike, and he could be a valuable asset for Tottenham in the future.
